HellermannTyton's Shrink-Tag system is a heat shrink identification method which makes it easy to mark wire, cable, terminals and other components.
For efficient marking, Shrink-Tags can be printed using HellermannTyton's thermal transfer printers. Shrink-Tag are also pin-fed for use with pin dot matrix printers. TagPrint software can be used with a standard dot matrix printer to print on the Shrink-Tag markers. Marks can also be made with a printer, typewriter, or pen. After the Shrink-Tag is heated and shrunk, the imprint is permatized and solvent resistant.
Shrink-Tag is self-extinguishing and recognized to UL standard for print performance, heat shock and flammability.
HellermannTyton also offers a military specified version of the Shrink-Tags , in both yellow and white, with or without perforations. When used with a dot matrix or HellermannTyton thermal transfer printer, these military specified Shrink-tags meet Mil-1-23053/5, Class I and III, Mil. Std.202 Method 215 (except solvent C because it is ozone depleting), and Mil-M-81531 for print performance.
